1. Double Eccentric Design – Reduced Wear & Extended Service Life
The disc offset and shaft offset cause the disc to disengage from the seat immediately upon rotation, eliminating sliding contact. This reduces wear and extends seat and disc lifespan significantly.
The design reduces operating torque by up to 30–50% compared to concentric valves, allowing a smaller, more economical actuator to perform the same work while consuming less energy.
In the open position, the disc and seat have no contact, completely eliminating scuffing and "rubber memory" issues common in conventional soft-seated butterfly valves.
2. Ductile Iron Body & Disc – Robust & Corrosion-Resistant Construction
Both the valve body and disc are cast from ductile iron (GGG40/500-7, ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12), providing high tensile strength (>400 MPa), excellent impact resistance, and superior ductility compared to gray iron.
The ductile iron eccentric disc ensures stable positioning and positive sealing performance under varying pressure conditions.
Epoxy coating (minimum 250µm, any RAL color available) is applied to all external ferrous surfaces for corrosion protection, meeting standards such as EN 14901 GSK RAL certificate and AWWA C550.
3. Electric Actuator – Precise Remote Automation
The electric actuator enables on/off or modulating control with high positioning accuracy, eliminating the need for compressed air lines. It is particularly well-suited for facilities where pneumatic infrastructure is unavailable or where precise flow regulation is critical.
Electric actuation eliminates the venting of process gases associated with pneumatic actuators, offering an eco-friendly, emission-free solution ideal for clean-room environments, water treatment facilities, and indoor installations.
An integral handwheel with declutch mechanism is provided for manual override during power outages or maintenance operations.
4. Flanged Connections – Secure & Universal Compatibility
Double flanged ends provide rigid, leak-proof bolted connections on both sides, suitable for dead-end service, high-vibration pipelines, and permanent installations.
Flange drilling conforms to international standards: EN 1092-2 PN10/PN16, ANSI B16.5 Class 150, AS 2129, JIS 10K, or other customer-specified standards.
Designed for bidirectional sealing with full-rated pressure capability in both directions; a preferred flow direction arrow is typically marked on the valve body for reference.
5. Low Pressure Drop & Energy Efficiency
The double eccentric disc profile and streamlined body design minimize flow resistance, resulting in low pressure drop and reduced pumping energy consumption.
The disc is securely pinned to the stem with stainless steel pins, ensuring positive torque transmission without slippage over the valve's lifetime.
Available with soft seat (EPDM, NBR, Viton) or metal seat options, depending on media and temperature requirements.
