This article introduces double flanged butterfly valves – the heaviest, most rigid butterfly valve design with integral flanges on both ends for bolted pipeline connections. Self-supporting and capable of handling high pressures (PN16–PN40) and large diameters (DN50–DN2000+), these valves are ideal for water supply, wastewater, chemical processing, power generation, and oil and gas applications. As an LRQA-certified ISO 9001:2015 OEM/ODM manufacturer with over 15 years of export experience, Tianjin Worlds Valve Co., Ltd. offers fully customizable solutions to meet specific project requirements.

Double flanged butterfly valve for heavy-duty systems: ductile iron body, CF8M disc, vulcanized EPDM seat for zero leakage and metal isolation. Electric actuator (on-off/modulating with feedback), PN16, fully customizable. Certified ISO 9001, CE, UKCA, WRAS, ACS; 100% pressure tested with traceable certs. Factory direct, 15–40 days lead time.

This DN300 double eccentric flanged butterfly valve features a ductile iron body and disc with an electric actuator for automated on/off control. The double offset design reduces wear and operating torque, extending seat life. Ideal for water, wastewater, and industrial applications. Fully customizable. ISO 9001 certified OEM manufacturer.

This article compares wafer butterfly valves with traditional gate and globe valves, focusing on installation space, operation speed, cost, and maintenance. It highlights the advantages of wafer designs – compact, lightweight, low pressure drop, and automation‑ready. Tianjin Worlds Valve Co., Ltd. is presented as a reliable OEM/ODM manufacturer offering full material customization, replaceable soft seats, and international certifications (ISO 9001, CE, UKCA, WRAS, ACS, DNV/ABS). The guide helps engineers select the right valve based on media, temperature, pressure, and frequency of operation, with practical tips on seat and body materials.

This guide clarifies the naming conventions and key variants of industrial butterfly valves to aid in proper selection. It explains that terms like Wafer, Lug, Flanged, and Resilient Seated directly indicate critical design features such as connection type, sealing mechanism, and service capability.

The article details the specific applications of each type: compact Wafer valves for general use, Lug valves for dead-end service, Flanged valves for high-pressure systems, and Resilient Seated valves for bubble-tight shutoff. It provides a framework for specification by outlining four essential selection factors: connection type, offset design, seat material, and dead-end service needs.

Finally, it positions Tianjin Worlds Valve as a provider of ISO 9001-certified, customizable solutions across this full spectrum of butterfly valves for water, HVAC, chemical, and industrial applications.

Selecting the right butterfly valve for your system is a crucial decision that can affect the performance and longevity of your piping network.

The sealing principle and structural characteristics of flanged butterfly valves are the same as those of ordinary centerline butterfly valves.

The opening and closing part of the flanged butterfly valve is a flange. The movement direction of the flange is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. The flanged butterfly valve can only be fully opened and fully closed and cannot be adjusted or throttled.
