Product Overview

A lug butterfly valve is a quarter-turn flow control device distinguished by its threaded lug design–threaded inserts on both sides of the valve body that allow it to be bolted directly to pipe flanges independently on each side.

Unlike wafer valves that are sandwiched between flanges and require full disconnection for removal, the lug design enables dead-end service: you can remove the valve from one side of the pipeline while the other side remains pressurized and operational. This makes it the preferred choice for systems where maintenance isolation, pipeline flexibility, and reduced downtime are critical.

This model features a DI (ductile iron) body for strength and durability, a CF8M stainless steel disc for superior corrosion resistance, an EPDM seat for reliable sealing, and an aluminum handle for lightweight, smooth manual operation–rated at PN16 (16 bar) . The aluminum handle reduces overall valve weight and provides comfortable, ergonomic operation without the corrosion concerns of traditional cast iron handles.
