Independent Pipeline Mounting–Threaded lugs on both sides of the valve body allow each side to be bolted independently to pipe flanges. This enables dead-end service–the valve can be installed at the end of a pipeline or used to isolate a section for maintenance.
Simplified Maintenance–The valve can be removed from one side without depressurizing or shutting down the entire pipeline. In chemical plants and processing facilities where downtime is measured in thousands of dollars per hour, this is a game-changer.
Superior Rigidity–The lug design provides greater structural strength than wafer types, withstanding pipe stress, vibration, and thermal expansion.
Unlike soft-seated valves that rely on replaceable rubber or PTFE seats, the hard seat design is permanently integrated into the valve body:
Superior Wear Resistance–The metal-to-metal sealing interface withstands abrasive media, particulate-laden fluids, and high-velocity flow that would quickly erode a soft seat.
Higher Temperature Capability–Hard seats maintain sealing integrity at temperatures that would cause EPDM, NBR, or PTFE seats to degrade or lose elasticity. This makes them suitable for steam, hot oil, and high-temperature process fluids.
No Seat Replacement Needed–While the seat cannot be replaced in the field, it also doesn't need to be. Hard seats are engineered for the full service life of the valve, reducing maintenance frequency and eliminating spare seat inventory costs.
Consistent Sealing Over Time–The metal-to-metal sealing geometry maintains its integrity through thousands of cycles, with minimal compression set or relaxation.
High Strength–Offers tensile strength of ≥400 MPa and yield strength of ≥250 MPa, providing reliable performance under pressure surges.
