The valve body is manufactured from ductile iron GGG40 (ASTM A536 65-45-12):

The disc features a ductile iron core with EPDM rubber over-molding:
Bubble-Tight Sealing–The EPDM over-molding creates a resilient sealing surface against the seat, delivering bubble-tight shut-off certified to EN 12266-1 and API 598.
Maximum Flow Capacity–The over-molded design eliminates the need for a separate liner, allowing a larger flow passage and higher Cv values.
Full Corrosion Protection–The EPDM layer fully encapsulates the ductile iron disc, protecting it from corrosion and extending service life.
